1. Getting Started

What is momentum trading?

Momentum trading is a strategy that capitalises on the continuance of existing market trends. The Smart Fish Trading Momentum Strategy involves identifying powerful trends and getting involved at the start of the move to maximise risk-to-reward opportunities.

Do I need prior trading experience?

While some basic market knowledge is helpful, our curriculum is designed to take you from a beginner in the markets to an independent trader. We start with fundamentals and gradually build up to the comprehensive strategy. However, we recommend having some basic understanding of how markets work.

What is included with Membership?

Membership to Smart Fish Trading includes access to the Smart Fish Trading Course, designed to take from you from the foundations of trading to independent trading. It also includes access to the Smart Fish Trading Trade Journal, which includes all trades taken using the Smart Fish Trading Standard Trade Plan. You will also have access to the SFT private community and support from the SFT Team for any questions.

2. Strategy & Performance

How do you track trades from the strategy?

Members of Smart Fish Trading have access to the SFT Trade Journal. This is a live journal updated daily that tracks all trades that are valid under the standard Smart Fish Trading Trade Plan. This is the best tool to demonstrate strategy profitability as well as expedite your learning journey for your own independent trading.

What markets do you trade?

Our strategy primarily focuses on futures trading for DAX (German Stock Exchange) and Gold for the London Session, and on Gold and Nasdaq for the New York Session. You can also trade these pairs via CFDs. These pairs are tracked in the Smart Fish Trading Trade Journal. However the strategy is applicable to all markets including indicies, forex and crypto.

How often do you take trades?

We focus on quality over quantity. Typically, there will be at least 1-2 opportunities per day for both the London Session and the New York Session. Check the Strategy Performance page for the number of trades taken for 2025.

3. Membership & Access

How do I access the member area?

After purchasing a membership, you'll receive an email titled "Your New Smart Fish Trading Account" that allows you to set your password. Once set, click "Log In" on the Smart Fish Trading homepage and use your credentials to access the Member Dashboard. This will contain the Smart Fish Trading Course, the Smart Fish Trade Journal and the private community.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

4. Education & Support

How long does it take to become profitable?

There is no guarantee of profitability. Increasing your chances of success depends of your dedication to learning, practicing and emotional discipline. This will be covered in further detail in the Smart Fish Trading Course.

Will I be supported during my learning journey?

Membership to Smart Fish Trading includes ongoing support for the duration of your membership. You can contact the team anytime through the community page or at [email protected] with any questions you have.

What trading platforms do you use?

We primarily use TradingView for analysis and various brokers and prop firms for execution. The strategies work with any platform that provides real-time data and charting tools.

5. Risk & Legal

What are the risks involved?

Trading involves substantial risk of loss and may not be suitable for all people. You could lose some or all of your capital. You are responsible for all trading behaviour. Past performance does not guarantee future results. We emphasise risk management, but losses are always possible in trading. Smart Fish Trading does not manage any funds on behalf of clients or instruct them on specific buying and selling of financial products.

Do you provide trading signals?

We provide educational content, not trading signals or personalised investment advice. All content is for educational purposes only. You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

Are there any ongoing fees?

Membership is billed monthly. There are no hidden fees. You can cancel your membership at any time, and you'll retain access through the end of your current billing period.
